Mk2 Escort RS2000 Cosworth

Its a genuine Custom
RS2000, been building it for about 7 years, but only pulled my finger out to
complete it about 2 years ago, then I realised that I would have to throw
thousands of hours, thousands of pounds and thousands of headaches at it or it
would never get done, but I always try to finish what I start, even if the
project evolves into something more than I first thought or imagined.
the basic plan was to keep weight under
1000kg, to gain as much BHP as possible that my budget would stretch to and keep
the car as standard as possible.
It weights 975kg and
had 416BHP at 369lb/ft of torque (before latest mods), it is low compression,
running 35PSI and had a safe map for hard use setting the AFR to 10.5:1 and it
looks as standard as most other RS2000's
So all in all im well happy with my final
creation, the shell was built entirely by myself, the prep and painting was done
by myself and a couple of good friends, the corner weight and coil over setup
was done by Edwards Motorsport, the original live mapping was done by motorsport
developments and the dyno tunes done by Torque of the Devil.
